Welcome to the Vision Sciences Laboratory
The acknowledged size of the visual part of our brain has increased dramatically in recent years. Correspondingly the recognized functions of vision have also multiplied. Specialized neural mechanisms exist to perceive and remember objects, people, and scenes as well as understanding human actions. Other visual mechanisms are responsible for planning and executing our actions.
We study all of these topics using the methods of visual psychophysics, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology and brain imaging.
